This service is for your vintage Airguide Speedometer.
Targeted at 700 Series Models, new in these approximate years:
1976 to 1987.
YOUR SPEEDOMETER MUST RESEMBLE THE ONE PICTURED IN THIS AD.
We’ll turn that 'old-school', 'erratic', and 'general-headache' Pitot-Tube speedometer, into a state-of-the-art, accurate GPS speedometer.
Nautic Laugic’s AirGlide GPS retrofit kit was designed specifically for Airguide speedometers. The electronics provide precise, smooth, fluid needle operation. The kit includes the Swift GPS Receiver for accurate, RELIABLE speed-sensing. The AirGlide assembly requires 12VDC power to operate. [GPS is free to all … there are no fees nor subscriptions to use GPS.]
Your speedometer’s Original appearance is kept.
The speedometer is opened up and gutted of the old Pressure-Mechanism. The case (base & bezel), glass lens, dial face, pointer (needle), and internal mounting structure(s) are recouped. This means, these original components on your speedometer MUST be in respectable condition for reuse.
For Nautic Laugic does not have Airguide replacement parts.
The case is given a ‘Brand-New’ luster. Our Beauty Chrome specialist will triple-plated both case halves to a marine grade finish.

The parts and services provided with this Ad purchase include:

The speedometer is completely disassembled. The internal pressure-mechanical parts are removed
and discarded

The case (both base and bezel) are sent to the Beauty Chromer’s for refinishing. [allow 4 weeks to process].

The lens and dial face are cleaned to the best of our ability.
·
The pointer (needle) is recolored if necessary. We’ll attempt to remove cracked, chipping paint. Recoloring is done with an orange paint pen.

The AirGlide GPS electronics assembly is added.
·
The unit is fully reassembled.
·
The unit is speed calibrated.  The 50 and 80 MPH dials are common and very routine for us to calibrate. All other ranges are handled by our Universal Calibration process. In all cases at a full stop, the needle will rest at 5 MPH.

The unit is functionally tested.
·
A Swift GPS Receiver is included. It’s 10Hz, has great sensitivity, and a blazing fast satellite re-sync. Position the GPS Receiver above deck with direct line-of-sight to the sky. The windshield and/or cloth tops are of no concern.

Installation instructions are included with the unit, and all are packaged for return shipment [USPS Priority Mail].
