Circa 1900 Karlsbad Czech Antique Porcelain Jewish Passover Seder Plate SOTHEBYS

Description

8.75 inches high, 11.75 inches wide. Green hallmark on reverse. Made of extremely heavy and thick porcelain weighing 2 pounds, 5.3 ounces. No damage except for a 1/4 of an inch rim crack seen on the upper right side of the tray. This crack is very stable because the porcelain is so thick. This is a much rarer version of the Karlsbad Passover Seder tray, the round ones appear all the time but this square version does not.
Seen in the last photo is a nearly identical tray from the October 25, 2000 Sotheby's auction.
